A Helping Hand for Haiti

On September 17, 2004, the small island nation of Haiti was battered by Hurricane Jeanne, leaving the north-western region of the poorest country in the western world ravaged, close to 3,000 of its inhabitants dead, another 300,000 homeless, and the town of Gonaïves engulfed in floodwaters.

Like other concerned private and corporate citizens around the world, HumanID, in collaboration with Vulcain Alarm Inc., wasted no time in answering the distress call. In the days following the devastation, management and employees rallied around the cause and organized a Chinese auction, with all money raised being forwarded to Oxfam-Quebec for use in aid of Haiti.
