Serving as a Financing Angel, HumanID is committed to taking Canadian entrepreneurs under its wing, lending its invaluable support for the development of innovative ideas and projects.
But just what is Angel Financing? The Canadian Bankers Association describes Business Angels as "private individuals with capital to invest in business enterprises" - individuals who act as mentors, investing venture capital and their time and expertise in private companies that are unable to raise adequate funding via the established capital market. When the entrepreneur has exhausted his initial financial resources, his business is usually seen as being too risky for typical equity investors such as banks, credit unions and business development lenders. This is when the Business Angel spreads its wings, helping to bridge the equity gap.
